AT&T Unlimited LTE Hotspot $20 without AT&T phones

Now that the Mobley is ordered and on it's way. I am looking at the various 120 ac powercords. I was thinking about the one that has a direct connection to the 120 plug as it is a more secure connection and simplicity.

For the usb plug would you just plug the usb into a generic 120 ac plug as one would use for a cell phone charger? I do realize that the usb adapter has a bit more versatility.
