I wonder if AT&T has recently updated their on-line purchase of the Mobley? I ordered one a few hours ago and it automatically added the $20/mo unlimited data plan. That shows up on my invoice too. I had to provide billing address information to get the order to go thru, so I assume that was to set up the monthly billing account.
What was interesting was I opted to buy the Mobley and used my Amex card. Amex immediately rejected the charge as a possible fraudulent charge on my account. But after approving it I was able to get it to go thru on the second attempt. Guess maybe Amex is seeing a lot of people buying the Mobley and the level of activity has raised a red flag for them.
BTW, I was told I could use an older AT&T hotspot device on this plan, but that turned out to not be true. The best deal I could get on it for unlimited was $65/mo on a pre-paid plan and $85/mo on a post-paid plan. I suspect the difference being that on pre-paid it won't roam off AT&T towers as it will on a post-paid plan. So I wonder if the Mobley is locked to only use AT&T towers or if it will roam onto other towers if necessary.
