As Bill said, "Connected Car" is the magic term for getting to the right people when calling AT&T.
Between that call and the next one someone posted the direct Connected Car 800 # so I called that. They even answered "AT&T Connected Car". A half hour later they told me I had to register the device on Mobley's site, they would give me a phone number, then to call back and get it "activated". After an hour chatting with the Mobley folks (who I believe I thoroughly confused) I called my 611 # back and they gave me a phone number within 10 minutes. They still wouldn't "activate " me until they sent me a new sim card which took a week. I happened by an AT&T store the next day and they did the activation.
The stories are endless. As they say... if you tried to make this stuff up nobody would believe you.
