it was a piece of cake to get signed up at the AT&T corp store......
even though the AT&T sales assistant had NEVER HEARD OF IT !!.
Bought it at Best Buy.
Next day - TEN minutes later at the AT&T store = DONE !!
BTW -
The sales assistant said, "THIS is a really good deal, I may get one!"

And - NO I don't have any other AT&T service/s.
*Have* received my first bill - $20. plus about $1.00 in taxes.

Go to the AT&T Corp store.....(not a kiosk in the mall) -
At AT&T Corp store - if the sales person has a 5th grade education, he or she *CAN* find the plan. Apparently at the bottom of the list.
It really was a NO-BRAINER for the salesperson!
No joy? - Ask for a different salesperson -or-
go to a different AT&T store.
Tell 'em there's hundreds - if not thousands - who have done so already!

OBDII - not compatible on a '96 or later vehicle? - Pure BS..:R
(LOTS of independent mechanics would be out of business!)
(Even if true - you could buy a cheap inverter (12V to 110V) to use with your 110V home to 12V converter - which you want anyway).
If it's not "EASY" - - key word is "PERSEVERANCE"..:W
