Well the Mobility is NOT sold as a standalone someone came up with a simple way to use it without being in the vehicle. You can also tether the Mobility to a router for more than five users at one time and a better wireless range.
The HUM "may" have a way of doing the same thing I don't know I do not have a Verizon account and figured it might be of interest to someone other than you that has a Verizon account so they can check it out.
ATT could just as easy update your Mobility to shut of at 10 minuets no exceptions if they so desire after all it was an update that let you have it on for 24 hours a day.
