Credit Checks:
When I activated my Mobley (purchased at Best Buy) at an ATT Corp store - the SSN check was part of the process.
However - I have credit freezes on/at all three credit reporting bureaus.
Thought I was about to hit a "glitch" in the process, as from past experiences - I have had to "lift" one or all of the freezes for credit checks..:)
No questions asked - or glitches - ten minutes and D-O-N-E..:C
Possibly ATT simply wants to know you *have* a SS number?
