That varies dramatically upon where I am located.
The speed test sites give you an idea of what your capable of but it is not a real data point. The true data speed will vary on every site you go to and they will be very inconsistent.
Sites like Netflix and others like them have a very large data pipe to accommodate the needs of their customers but not every site does. They can be compromised as well by other traffic coming down the same pipe. All sites have multiple pathways and servers which are supposed to load balance and give the best performance but sometimes everything is loaded and your just stuck.
