Ok here's the scoop. We have the roof mounted Travel'r. It has the Western Arc. The only issue we had as we traveled on our 8 month eastern trip other than tree cover occasionally was if local stations were on the Eastern Arc we could not get them in HD. Every local networks were also broadcast in SD on Western Arc everyplace we were, and in some places like Orlando and I believe Memphis were in HD in both Western and Eastern Arc!
Of course all the non-networks like TNT, FXX, CNN, Fox News and ESPN will work everywhere on Western Arc.
