Well I don't think it is just Axess, tv/dvd combo sets are known to have issues at times with their dvd players. Reviews on Amazon shows this unit is about as good as any similar products. From my experience, as we have a 32" Sharp combo unit, is that at times the disc won't load properly. Usually ejecting and re-inserting will allow disc to seat properly.
We found it best to not leave disc in unit, particularly if we are planning to move on down the road. All that shaking could dislodge disc causing it to possibly malfunction when attempting to eject. By the way, that is a good price, maybe pay a few dollars more for the extended warranty if one is offered, peace of mind for at least a couple of years.
