Best cell service providers, (areas covered)

Ok, lets forget all the advertising hype and go with real world experience. What are the 2 or 3 best cell service providers for those of us out on the road with our RV's.
We currently have AT&T, but am being ripped off on a monthly basis.
From your experience, what other providers have good coverage across the middle 2/3 of the U.S. Especially when you get out away from the major cities. We have got to reduce our phone bills. Thanks.

  • We had AT&T for several years but switched to Verizon because we had friends using Verizon that could get a good signal where we had nothing. Been very happy with Verizon for over two years including cross country trips. Price about the same as AT&T.

  • I had ATT for 25 years and never ripped off.
    I have Verizon now.
Verizon and ATT are the best. It just depends on the area. I think all the rest use their towers.
I am a heavy data user (80-106 gb / mo.) so I have the unlimited plan.
I use my iPhone as a hot spot.
  • Depending on how much talk time and data you need Consumer Cellular works very well for me. Only drawback is there is only a 5gig maximum plan. So if you use a lot of data it may not be for you. It uses AT&T and Tmobile systems. Your AT&T phone would work on it, they will furnish a SIM card for the conversion.
