I currently have a Garmin RV 760LM but find that it works very poorly while traveling. It seems to avoid problems that aren't there and takes me through streets that I have no business on. It has directed me several times on routes that would be 40-100 miles longer than a route that I had traveled before. I have tried to re-set the vehicle info but that doesn't seem to help. Any idea on a better model for a motorhome?Stu

I don't know how good it will be, but Garmin will be shipping their recently introduced RV 770LM within a month

I used the free version of CoPilot, plus 10 bucks for voice navigation, on my 7" tablet on my last trip of about 3300 miles and was very pleased with it. It has an RV setting also. Nice thing about it is you can preplan your trip and save it. I preplanned all legs of the trip before I left home and loaded them up as needed.

That seems (to me) to be a fairly common problem across all the brands that I have used. Garmin and built-in's in a Toyota and a Ford. They all seem to do strange things at times.Looking at a map each morning to get roughly familiar with the route helps. So does watching the map on the screen as you approach towns. Some of the craziness is easy to spot (and avoid) if you watch the screen instead of blindly following the voice prompts.Bottom line: A GPS should be used ONLY as an aid. YOU are still responsible for not getting yourself into trouble.
