Best GPS for RV

I am ready to pick up a new GPS for RV use. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Garmin is the best! Have a Kenwood dash system. Even tells you what lanes to use! Very accurate!

Garmin has a Nuvi for truckers that lets you input your vehicle size including height. It then routes you around bridges too low or where you would exceed the weight limit.

I don't have one, but the next one I get will be the Garmin Nuvi 465T

    Got one, and love it!
  • I have the Rand McNally 7710 and highly recommend it. It has never failed me.
  • I am doing the same thing. Narrowed my choice down to Garmin 560LMT or the Rand McNally 7710.

  • We bought a Garmin Dezl truckers gps. I like the fact that it knows we're not a little car and hopefully can keep us out of trouble.

I use the Garmin 1490, and like it a lot. It has a bigger screen than most. I must have bought 10 or so Garmins.

With any GPS, you have to watch the routing that the GPS recommends. Sometime they take you where you want to go. GPSs are GREAT when you get close to your address.

There are GPSs that give you height warnings. This is important if you 5th wheel is cloise to 14 feet.
