I have been using, selling, teaching and installing GPS' since they were invented. Still have my old Garmin A-50, the first hand held (about the size of a small shoe box and it ate batteries like breath mints..... but it still works). Been using an entry level, now 5 year old Tom Tom that was given to us with no problems. On our last trip I managed to take $300 out of the Casino in Laughlin sooo....
Time for a new serious RV GPS. Just received the new Rand McNally RVND 7720 LM ($269 w/no freight, received it in 2 days from Amazon). Played with it at home for a couple of hours yesterday and all I can say is WOW! What a nice, user friendly, feature packed piece of electronics. The fit and finish on this thing are amazing.
We are headed out on Friday for a trip to Roper Lake and that will be the initial highway run. I have already loaded dozens of CG's and my I-phone Wifi hotspot feature works great. The 7720 locked onto the internet in seconds. More features than I ever dreamed were available and all for under $300! :B
