Best GPS
Any body have an experience with the Rand McNally gps that Camping world sells? I have several Garmin's and don't have any problem with them, but they are not rv friendly. Thanks Cary

It's Ms. WoodGlue and yes, I have the TomTom VIA 1605M RV (Lifetime Maps) and w/ the cigarette lighter adapter w/ traffic built in also lifetime traffic as well.

Interesting you like the Tom Tom. I was always a Tom Tom guy.
The 760LMT is my 1st Garmin. So far I really like the Garmin although i had nothing against the Tom Tom.
In the long run I guess I changed brands just to try something different.
That's exactly the same reason why I initially bought the Garmin, to try something "different" however, to me the Garmin is an unqualified disaster. Led me to 2 overpasses (underpasses) that would have knocked off the A/C on my trailer even though I had the unit set correctly! Plus, too many "non integrated" pieces of software to have to deal with for trip planning.
I was disappointed because I really wanted an RV specific GPS and I knew I didn't want the Rand McNally. It was then I discovered that TomTom had an RV specific GPS and I was over the moon w/ happiness!
What I love about TomTom is the ability for end users to submit road changes on the fly and that has been a huge plus in Los Angeles, during the reconstruction of the 405 freeway. People are submitting lots of up to the minute lane closures, offramp reopenings, etc.
All you need to do is keep the unit updated via the computer interface (usb) and you're good to go!
