Best GPS

Any body have an experience with the Rand McNally gps that Camping world sells? I have several Garmin's and don't have any problem with them, but they are not rv friendly.
Thanks
Cary

Serious issues? Not sure where you got that.

We've had our RM 7710 for a couple of years with no issues...happy enough to not even consider switching.

    Great tool.
  • I really love my TomTom VIA RV 1605 - It's very RV specific!

Takes height, width, length and axles into consideration as parameters.

I also have the new Garmin RV specific GPS and it sucks!

  • I have a Rand McNally 7710.
It is alot better then my Wife's and my Gdaughter's Garmin for rv use.
I like some of the functions like showing side roads. It is almost like a mapping software.
There has been several large updates. These added many features.
If you go with Rand McNall get the lifetime updates option.

The OP appears to be interested in RV specific applications. If you load up the cell-phone with "RV" applications, you end up racking up connect time to use them.

But, if you have been happy with Garmin, you might want to look at the Garmin RV-760. This is based on the Dezl, with more RV functions (like built in campgrounds).

I notice a trend where people with questions are told to "do a search" or even provide links to forum searches. I think most of us know how to do a search. I also know that technology changes monthly, weekly, daily, and sometimes even hourly. That is why I sometimes ask a question that might resemble one posted in June or July.

I also notice far too often people post before looking.

  • depends on the Garmin model. MY Dezl is great for RV use.
Lots of posts on this topic. Have you done any searches yet?
