Bluetooth question

I'm trying to figure out ( maybe learn) why a phone app will work on Samsung bluetooth but not on a motorola bluetooth. Can anyone explain why there would be a difference?

Line from a song about early computers:
"Now everything is standardized but nothing works the same"

Blue Tooth is one of those things that is standardized.. almost.. Minor differences between different makers matter.

one device I have works with SOME headsets.. not all Works with Android phones, NOT IOS that kind of thing.
  • There are many Bluetooth profiles that do different things.
The device operates using a particular profile and the phone has to support this profile.
Your hearing aid probably needs an A2DP profile on the phone to work.
  • No it's actually a hearing aid app to control the hearing aids volume, etc.

I would think Bluetooth would be standard acroos phones.
  • Just a SWAG (stupid wild assed guess) but is it a Samsung app?
Their phone apps are often touchy about you using their equipment.
