Unless you are using a really old SD only receiver (D10, D12 Rxx) the receiver should have an HDMI output. If that's what you are using then you need to run the coax from the receiver to the TV coax input and then do a new channels scan while the receiver is turned on and connected. The DTV receiver will be found on channel 3 analog (sometimes 4). If the TV you bought does not scan for analog channels you will not be able to use it with that old receiver. You best bet (in all cases) is to update your receiver to an H series receiver. If you use a dome in your RV then you want to get an H24 or HR24 if you want a DVR. If you have a Trav'ler or use a ground mounted tripod then get a Genie HR54.
