Buying A Used DTV Receiver
I get tired of moving the sat receiver model D12-100 between the RV and the house. If I buy a used same mod DTV receiver off ebay, will DTV authorize it ? Does it need a card w/ it ? Thanks for a...

Ok, but wait just a minute,. if I don't own it, and have to pay $6/mo,
why wouldn't I just order one from DTV. That's what I cancelled about 5 yrs ago to save the $72 per year, and they had me return the receiver.
My idea was to own the RV receiver, and just transfer my service between the 2 receivers when needed.
Its not that easy ??

If it stops working, once in a while you need to "reauthorize" the box (if you go for long periods without using it)
