Hmmmm. I don't know if you have ATT or Verizon coverage in your area, but if you do, have you considered looking in to one of their Home connections systems? Verizon calls theirs, " Home Phone Connect " and ATT calls theirs " ATT Wireless Home Phone ". Either should be cheaper than your present landline service, and perhaps one of these 'Big Two' companies will be able to port your existing number? Worth a try. I dumped my DSL and associated telephone service from CenturyLink a couple years ago and have no regrets..... plus am saving about $50. per month in the process and have Internet speeds 20 times faster!
