Camping World “reneged”

I am very unhappy with Good Sam’s Camping World which I have been a member of for almost 20 years.

I tried to place an order for a sale item during the February sale, but the rep said because there were so many orders and a delay in shipping from the manufacturer; they could not take my order at that time. He told me to call back later and when the problems were resolved I could place the order at the sale price. On my second call back, which was after the sale, a rep took the order, however, Armando, the Supervisor overruled the rep and refused to honor the sale price. Clearly they reneged on what I was told twice!

I feel that either the first 2 reps erred, or Armando was unwilling to listen. This is simply not acceptable! I feel if they can treat a long-time customer like this, I will need to shop where I can depend on what I’m told.

  • How would any of the people you talked to after the sale know what you were told during the sale? Seems CW needs some sort of rain check, a piece of paper or coupon, like many retail stores use.
  • I don't understand, if someone tells you it is a snake do you have to get bit to verify that it is a snake? All the bad press CW gets and yet people still go there or try ordering from them and end up getting bit. Can someone enlighten me as to the WHY of this situation?
