- strollinExplorerNot directly but you could use a capture device to record them as they streamed in order to watch again later.
- docjExplorerThere is a service called Play Later that can record streaming video using a computer in your household as a media server. The video quality is "acceptable" but it does require that you have a reasonably fast computer and it does pretty much tie the computer up during both the recording and playback phase. Also, if your internet service slows down and you get the dreaded "Loading" message from Netflix, your computer will continue to record that message without knowing there is no movie!
- 2oldmanExplorer IINot if Netflix has anything to say about it!
- Chris_BryantExplorer III download them all the time- through the mail :)
- Bionic_ManExplorerI've looked but have been largely unable to find that type of service.
I am on a plane frequently and would love to be able to download movies and TV to my ipad to watch when traveling, and would be willing to pay for the service. - DavyddExplorerNetflix is live streaming so you need a good wifi connection which is usually very difficult when RVing.
You can rent and download Apple iTunes movies on an iPad and you have a 30 day window with which to view them. Once you start watching, you have 24 hours before it goes "poof". I do that on the iPad when I travel. With Lightning adapter VGA or AV cables you can connect your iPad (or iPhone) to your TV and watch that way as well. Movies rent anywhere from $0.99 to $4.99 (new major releases). Older movies are generally $2.99 to $3.99 to rent. - AllegroDNomadWhat are your Terms of Service? Can you legally do this?
- MrWizardModeratoryou can 'buy' and download movies from Amazon prime
- Camp__Forrest__ExplorerI would love it Netflix had an offline mode.
- NCWriterExplorerWe used Netflix DVD mail service in the past, were happy, and cancelled when they broke off the two services separately.
Recently re-joined for streaming, and I'm really disappointed in the movie selection, far inferior to what they offer with the DVD mail service, which has Les Mis, Lincoln, and many other award winners. I had trouble finding a half dozen streaming movies worth watching.
I think we'll go the Apple rental route at home, but won't do much good most places when we're in the RV.
