For all practical purposes, a guest account has always seemed superfluous to me if all guests want to do is check email or browse the web. I'm willing to be educated but this seems likely why Win 10 doesn't by default have one.
I have always used a regular account as a guest account for visiting grandchildren or others and have never experienced any downside. I am careful to control access to backup hard drives, etc.
