I used a 10 inch, all-thread, feed through, bulk head connector. I run it through my frame rail. Thus a great ground. I mounted 5 hamstick antennas on a piece of angle iron and then grounded it to the rear ladder that I then grounded to the rear bumper.
I use an antenna analyzer to bring the antennas to resonance.
Same principals can be used for a single CB antenna.
