CB radio, How many users?
Back in my younger days I had an old Datsun pickup with 108" whip on the back corner. I ran RG8U from the 100 watt liner under the seat to the antenna. Had a blast on the CB back then. Fast Forward...

Bringing back memories....
I like many, wish we could turn back the clock on CB radios. We had a lot of fun and it actually could prove to be a worthwhile safety investment...But, it certainly has changed. My CB hasn't been turned on in probably over 5 years. With cellphones, its a lot easier to just call your traveling buddy and chat without any hash or break/break. I'm not sure what a ham license would provide that would be much different...I had a ham ticket 40 years ago and actually enjoyed the challenge that code offered. But a family came along and hobbies had to take a back seat.
