Getting ready to finally do some camping next summer and want to make sure I have internet so I can kind of work from my campsite.I just switched over to Verizon yesterday and got a Jetpack to use for my laptop. This morning I found a Wilson 4G Booster with a 12" mag mount antenna on craigslist for $50 and just drove 175 miles round trip and got it...My question is that he ended up giving me to Wilson Cradle Boosters (after we chatted for about 25mins about camping)Which one is the newest or better one? Model 2B5125 or 2B5325?

I'm coming to the same conclusion after about 45mins of research 2B5125 is the 4G-V for Verizon and the 2B5325 is 4G-A more for AT&T

I have the WILSON CRADLE passive boosters in both the trailer and my truck using the VERIZON towers.This really extends the footprint for our wifi enabled devices when being used around our patio and near vicinity of the camp site. Being small units I can drop my MIFI in the shirt pocket if we are doing some long walks along the trails or coastline... Tablets work great...In the truck my MIFI units works great allowing us to use some of our WIFI enables tablets etc going down the road with minimum dropouts etc... Both my WILSON units have the longer antenna and are the 2G/3G models. My older units don't do the 4G networks haha...We also get by just fine with our older 3G dataplan units... This of course doesn't allow for any downstreaming TV Channel programs or movies. You will need something in the 20G dataplan (and larger) to even start thinking about doing that.I gave up on trying to use the campground WIFI signals along time ago.Roy Ken

I emailed Wilson's Website... They saidBoth will boost the 3G frequencies for all major carriers. The 2B5125 also boosts the 4G for Verizon where the 2B5325 boosts the 4G for AT&T.--Thank you,WilsonAmplifiers.com Sales Team

Yes it was a great buy.. I got the 4G-V Booster, 12" mag mount antenna, Ac adapter, 12V adapter, 2 window mounts and 5 other kinds of mounts plus he threw in a 4G-A Sleek booster also with the short mag mount antenna

Speedtests are easy.

Attach to the jetpack from your computer.

Open your browser and go to www.SpeedTest.net

Click "Begin Test". After the download and upload tests have completed, click "Test Again" about a half dozen times to get an average.

gotta figure out how to do the speed tests next... but at least I know it's working good for $50. I'm guessing it will work better next summer with the antenna outside my Camper mounted on a 15 ft pole

-104 is a pretty weak signal, so you see a significant difference using the cradle.

-74 is very good! How much difference do you see with the speed tests?

with the cradle -74dBm - without the cradle -104dBm

Thank u... I found that part in the online manual a little while ago but it was confusing on how to get there.. u explained it much clearer
