I have the WILSON CRADLE passive boosters in both the trailer and my truck using the VERIZON towers.
This really extends the footprint for our wifi enabled devices when being used around our patio and near vicinity of the camp site. Being small units I can drop my MIFI in the shirt pocket if we are doing some long walks along the trails or coastline... Tablets work great...
In the truck my MIFI units works great allowing us to use some of our WIFI enables tablets etc going down the road with minimum dropouts etc... Both my WILSON units have the longer antenna and are the 2G/3G models. My older units don't do the 4G networks haha...
We also get by just fine with our older 3G dataplan units... This of course doesn't allow for any downstreaming TV Channel programs or movies.
You will need something in the 20G dataplan (and larger) to even start thinking about doing that.
I gave up on trying to use the campground WIFI signals along time ago.
