Our approach is to record what we want and later watch a hour program in 30 minutes. Very little live TV for us. Our one receiver with it's recordings goes with us in the MH.
Any yes there is a lot of junk on the channels regardless of the source. While we're not paying $250/mth sat TV is not cheap.
