According to latest news from The Verge Comcast will be limiting home data cap to 1.2TB next year in a dozen states. They will also be raising cable and internet prices in January 2021 according to Cordcutters. Please verify this info for yourselves. Bad News Bear.

  • Raise prices, give less service. Verge needs some competition.

They are the "Alternate" provider where I live.. I don't have them. But that is the way of the corporate world Rip off clients, Make Big Short term profit, Drive your customers away and go bankrupt In this case though it's more like drug dealers. Get 'em hooked and then soak 'em bigly.
  • The link just says they are raising prices. The combination of inflation, Rona counter measures and work from home people using more data...it's not really surprising.

Where did you see that there will be a data limit?

Then again 1.2TB is a lot of data even if you are streaming videos.
  • I am a happy Comcast Internet user. I do not believe there is a data cap, just an allowance for your plan rate. There are extra costs if I exceed the current 1.2TB limits.

We have 5 people in household, all working/school from home, and stream all "TV" content. We typically use about 900-1000GB per month.
  • Here is link to The Verge article about Comcast data cap and I fully expect my internet provider to follow the lead of Comcast and Direct TV (I hope not).

  • Good to hear data cap is of no concern. I will check my provider for a possible data cap. Cheers.
  • I live an in area where I wish I could get Comcast.
DSL is all I can get. The new acronym for DSL is Damn SLow
