Unless you regularly travel with another vehicle or you are a trucker at heart......I think you will find the CB pretty useless.
Our motorcycle club uses them for group rides and they work good.
I put one in the RV via a magnetic antenna and temp power plug and found that I almost never used it. It has stayed in a storage compartment the last few trips.
