I did a quick search on the above model. Seems it goes for about $500. And I saw no mention of GPS integration to automatically switch scan lists as you move around. It said "enter your zip code".
Maybe I missed something but that method is only slightly better than a sample scan which might be outdated before the scan is done.
And for those who don't quite know what we are talking about, you can't just scan ALL of the bands and frequencies because there are too many of them. It would take too long and you would miss much more than you accidentally "hit".
You need to somehow enter a scan list of the local channel assignments. Going down the road, you would need GPS coordination to automatically select lists for you. Anything else would be out-dated as quickly as you got it entered.
