For those of you who do ham radio, I have some questions.
I'm going to work towards getting my license. I currently have 2x CB antennas (Firestik 4') and 1x Firestik 4' scanner antenna that will be mounted on my truck. Firestik makes an aesthetically matching antenna for ham, but it happens to be single band only. How big of a deal is single vs dual band? I suspect that dual band opens up a ton more possibilities...
With that being said:
If single band is sufficient, what radio should I get?
If I should look at dual band, do you know of any antennas that look similar to Firestiks?
If not, do you have any recommended antennas that are not mag-mount?
