Could find anything using the search button on this site. I waded thru all the "fluff" with a google search for on line back sites. Of course they all say they are the best. Question for folks that use a on line back up service, Are you happy with what you have and if so, which one do you use?

Do you really want to put all of the personal data on your computer on a cloud service? Get yourself a large capacity portable USB hard drive and True Image backup software and make your backups right at your computer where you know the data is not going anywhere it shouldn't.

Path1, Cloud backup only works if you have internet access most of the time. I don't trust it when traveling. The only thing 1775 left out was a recommendation for Acronis True Image. That would serve you well. Matt

Since the question asked was for cloud backup recommendations, not the value or safety of cloud based backups, I'll try to answer that question.CrashPlan worked great for me for a couple years. Right now I'm dumping everything into either DropBox or SkyDrive. Both work fine. I also have a box.net account, but haven't used it yet. A cloud based backup service that has a mobile client is nice because you can access your files from anywhere. Cloud based backups also protect your files from the theft of your computer & flood/fire in your house.I keep all my account and password data in multiple cloud services, but it's encrypted. If I have files that for some reason I didn't want exposed to a cloud service, I'd encrypt those with TrueCrypt or something similar.
