Am not a windows guru, but the most basic first steps normally are from your browser, clear the cookies and browsing data,
then go into windows and tap the windows key and enter into disk cleanup, likely you want to empty the recycle bin, temporary internet fles and then click clean up.
After that you may want to restart and again open windows and find optimize or defrag, that may take a while to run depending on if you had it set to run automatically previously.
After it finishes restart and see if the issue has improved.
If you go to your google or chrome browser you should be able to search based on "how do I speed up my computer"
