Computer Won't Shut Down?
A desk top with windows 7 premium home. Aaaarg, had a shop work on the thing for running slow and locking up. It seems to work OK now except - on shut down it will work its way to the shutting dow...

I'm guessing my DELL LAPTOP is not totalling shutting down. It has four small lights on the left front panel and the farthest light to the left stays on. However all of external monitors, usb lights on mouse and keyboard all shut down right away. When I raise my computer laptop lid the screen is blank too but this light on the front panel stays on until I hold down the POWER BUTTON on the laptop for a few seconds.... Then it goes out... This light has the POWER ON/OFF symbol stanped by it... I do leave my laptop transformer module plugged in all the time. Maybe this is telling me the batteries are being charged??? haha.. I will remove the transformer plug the next time I shut down and see if that makes a difference...
