We carry our laptops and tablets with us on our RV trips.
I use the VERIZON MIFI unit that gives me a secure WIFI HOTSPOT which we can operate up to five WIFI enabled devices using it.
Works great for us.
My MIFI unit is small enough to carry in my shirt pocket and has 4 hours of battery power on it so this works out great carrying our laptop or tables down to the beachs and watch the ocean.
I sit my VERIZON MIFI unit in a WILSON CRADLE which has an outside antenna and this gives me a real strong VERIZON TOWER connection even when running down the highways...
When camping I have a spot up behind the trailer valance curtains that goes all around my POPUP room. I have a 120VAC Receptacle installed there where i can plug in my VERIZON MIFI unit to keep it charged. This is also setting in the WILSON CRADLE that has an outside antenna connection on the side of the trailer. Gives us great coverage all around our trailer and outside in the PATIO area for our five secured WIFI enabled devices we have.
I only have a grandfathered 3GB SECURED DATAPLAN so we only use this for checking in with the kids, paying some bills, and doing just a small amount of internet surfing. The VERIZON 3GB monthly plan works great for us.
