And therein lies the rub. Here in Canada you won't find any sine wave inverter, regardless of size, for under $200 unless it's complete junk and anything you might order online will attract additional charges for exchange rate, shipping, and import fees. Doesn't make sense when you can wander down to your local Crappy Tire and pick up the same 1000 watt sine wave inverter I have, rumoured to be an Xantrex, right off the shelf, 2 yr warranty included. Sure, for your current intended purpose a 300 watt model may be all you need but if you can't buy it for significantly less than this 1000 watt model, which I know you can't, then there's no point to it ... just buy the larger one and be done with it. It's just too bad you missed last week's sale, $199 + tax, which as I said earlier can't be beat here in Canada.
