We enjoy our convection ovens both at home and on the road while RVing. No issues while boondocking, just gives me a reason to exercise our onboard Onan or give our portable Champion inverter a nice workout, all the while enabling our Iota IQ4 to give our battery bank a nice boost.
Never an issue fitting a whole pizza, a couple of whole chickens, or a family size roast whether pork or beef, and the results are so much better once you figure out the many functions. Convection micro in our rig also cooks faster utilizing both microwave and convection features for outstanding results.
When our current rig only came with a convection microwave we were somewhat dismayed as well. When we actually took the time to read the owners manual the results were better across the board, there is a minor learning curve involved, definitely worth the time in our opinion.
