Why buy a copy when you can get the original? Instead of Apple's Johnny-come-lately product, go with a MS Surface Pro 3.
I'd love the Surface Pro 3. It's the right type of machine. But as mentioned earlier, I can't live with the auto updating of the OS.
The Surface Pro 3 comes with Win 8.1 Pro and does not auto update unless you want it to. I continue to run Win 8.1 on my SP3 and it works great.
Edit: Sorry, I see that the currently shipping models are coming with Win 10 Pro. Win 10 Pro allows you to defer Upgrades but not Updates.
However, you could set the Windows Update Service to Manual Start so that it only runs when YOU want it to run.
