I have a Samsung S8+ with Android 8.0.0.I want to COPY (NOT Transfer) pictures from the phone to a PC.It used to be as easy as access the phone folder and Copy & Paste to the PC folder, but not now.HOW can I do it?Thanks,Tim

It should still be that easy. When you plug into the PC, you should see a USB symbol on your phone, tapit and it's likely defaulted to "charge only" or some such. You can change it to "file transfer" ... your PC should re-detect the phone as either a removable USB or an MTP deviceafter this, it's drag and drop, cut and paste, whatever.

The latest update to Oreo, 8.0, Especially so with AT&T,is the problem. Backup to a Google account and then do a factory reset. Its a royal PITA.

On my Android phone (version 7), when I plugged in the USB cable I got a notification about it. I had to open the notification to be able to set permissions.

I have a Galaxy S9+ running Android 8.0.0 and used SmartSwitch (the replacement for Kies, that doesn't work anymore) to backup/restore my device.

I don't know when it got upgraded to 8.0.0, however.
