Sure, there are sections where there is no or very limited service, but a Wilson Sleek Amp will help in most of those areas. Otherwise, a good GRS/FRS radio, operated on GRS frequencies will boost your radio range. I live in the western mountains in a small town of 900 people and we have 4G service. The 80 mile drive down the canyon to the city will have a total of maybe 15 miles where you have no connection.
