Cost Effective Communication Between 2 Vehicles Out West

Depends on the distance between rides.. Short range,, (As in you can see each other) FRS or for a bit more range GMRS but you need a license for that.

Longer range (Few miles) CB

Best range... Study up and get a ham license.. From where I'm at (SC) I can talk to most of the USA, have talked to Scotland, and can type to most of the world.

All with 100 watts (or less) of power and 100 feet (or less) of wire.. Not so powerful when on the road as I only have 30 feet of 1/2 inch diamater "Wire" (copper pipe).
