Cost of 411 Call with Verizon
Is there a way to get around the cost of a 411 call. The wife has verizon and she is charged $1.99 per 411 call. Is there another number that she could call and not be charged?

There used to be a free 411 service that required you listen to an ad before you got an operator. Last I heard it failed simply because nobody uses 411 anymore, paid or not. Someone has to pay those folks.. suck it up or get a smart phone..
