OK, friends. I'm back. I got it to work! Following your advice I left clicked inside the taskbar (not the edge, as I was doing). I guided the arrow towards the bottom of the screen and all of a sudden the taskbar fell into place at the bottom.
Thanks to all of you who have helped. I don't know what I did in the first place to cause the taskbar to move (I was typing at the time) but now I know how to fix it. Thanks again....
(BTW, I'm gonna lock it now! ;))
