Crazy Task Bar

Something strange happened a few minuted ago. My task bar has always been in a horizontal position at the bottom of the screen. All of a sudden it wound up in a vertical position at the right side of the screen. I don't recall doing anything to cause this. How can I restore the task bar to the screen's bottom as before? Thanks in advance.

Equipment: Toshiba Satellite laptop running XP-3.

  • Drag and drop is the easiest method. Or you can right on an open area of the Taskbar, select Properties and under "Taskbar location on screen:", select "bottom." You may also want to checkmark "Lock the taskbar" and click OK, so it won't wonder off again. :)
  • Sometimes you can right-click I(or maybe LEFT click) on the vertical taskbar,
and holding down the mouse button, 'drag' it to the bottom
of the screen so that it becomes horizontal.
