I use the Windows Live Mail client on my Windows 10 laptop (and used it with Windows 7, as well). I just set up the email on my Android phone to point to my Live Mail account and to update the calendar only (I don't want all the emails dinging in on the phone). Works great and updates automatically any time I enter or change something in the calendar on the laptop - no app required.
