Data

This should absolutely not be an argument, but apparently it is now...

Is it "dat-tah" or

Is it "day-tah" ?
  • The bigger question in...

    Arkansas - R-cans-ass

    Or

    Kansas - Can-saw?

This is EXACTLY what the Continuity Editor said.

    Daht-uh, huh?

    Pants.
  • either way you say it cost the same $$

    neither is right

it is dah - ta/tuh ... Da like in DaDa for the first syllable

the 'T' is in the second syllable

and Day Ta was on star trek next generation
  • During my working years some of our customers from Boston area called it day-ter. Of course they also pahked their cahs.

Only one T so I would have to go with day-tah.

As does OED, however we are being outvoted and required (read: bullied) to make choice as to most correct / most common spoken usage.
