Delete new programs ?
Just a new laptop,and some here have been helping me load stuff and understand stuff. Just got a note from my Verizon that half my month service has been used in two days ... never used more than ...

No, uninstall is the method, but tech monkey said delete in the sense it should be gone, deleted, dead, out-a-my-hair, and successfully uninstalled - which I did to a buncha dead weight ...
I believe i stopped all the junk - some has a turn-off, some I uninstalled if I'm sure. So will see where it goes now, but it's much faster with all the nasty icons gone. Surprising what a little house-cleaning can do ... :)
Hope it did everything correctly, and nothing got hurt.
I turned the updates to 'ask me' instead of auto ...
