Desktop suggestions

The old Vista computer is slower than molasses in winter. I'll use some Christmas money and get a new tower with Windows 8. I only use it to pay bills and the occasional Word or Excel.

Price point has me looking at one with a Pentium i3 processor with 4 gb of ram.

For the PC gurus out there, will the above specs be enough horsepower for the relatively light use?

You may want to look at something like the DELL M6500 or newer workstations laptop. This is a top of the line laptop and being portable you can bring it along with you on your RV trips. My workstation laptop was purchased from OFF-LEASE on the internet and is a first class high end performance unit. It is DOCKING STATION capable which allows me to use in the home or in the RV by just snapping it into the docking station. My system is 99% the same setup at both locations and using the same LAPTOP has big benefits with having the same software and support wherever I go.

I use the VERIZON MIFI connections which gives me internet just about anywhere we go...

    Works out great for me...

    Just a thought...
