It most certainly was correct, I read the clauses myself. Now they say that they never intended for those clauses to apply. BS. They are in damage control mode now, and will do and say whatever is necessary to weather this.
The two executives who were " shown the door" actually retired. Did they suffer any financial hit to their retirement compensation? I doubt it. They also say the executives who sold stock didn't know about the data breach. I don't trust them.
I find the fact that this data breach was due to a vulnerability in Apache Struts to be particularly troubling, as I have been applying vulnerability patches to that product for at least a couple of years now.
Considering the type of personal data collected by Experion, Trans Union, and Equifax there is no excuse for this type of data breach. None.
