I see a thread about androd and its apps. Im about to jump into the smart phone thing. So which phone? When I go shopping I ask the clerk what phone they have and a good many of them have the Samsu...

Have both Android and Apple products.
I have a Android Samsung Galaxy 2 as a business phone for a company I work for and absolutely hate it. It is terrible as a phone and only mediocre for ease of use and compatibility. Maybe the 3 and ups are better or better products out there but not a fan of android at this time.
I bought my first apple product, Iphone 4S for personal use in December on the same carrier. All I can say is WOW what a difference in ease of use and functions. The phone IMHO is 10x better then the Samsung 2 from an ability to make a call standpoint. Less dropped calls and the speaker phone is night and day better then the Samsung.
I also have a touch pad with Android 4.2 that my wife uses and not overly happy with. Personally I find it ok but it does lose connection a fair bit but not sure if thats the OS or a weak wireless in the device itself
